You know what, im being really nice with this review. It is a good virtual juggler, and being made by one person is a feat.

Alas, the sour part of this review has begun and oh boy, do she a pucker a mighty. The mobile version of the app...fuckin runs *whole audience stands and claps and sits* it has the fuckin buttons *whole audience stands and claps and sits*, hell, it even kind of works ...

But when it loads in mobile, it’s not a filled screen, super easy fix. The buttons... if you tested them bruh would be fire...but they are laggy.

Im just an asshole who checks neegrounds on his phone though. I don’t have computer RIP!

Just send her through the portal one more time! Remaster (maybe even retexture) the grip of the game a little!

Love the achievements!

IF-dev responds:

Thanks for your feedback!

Unfortunately when i implemented the mobile controls I wasn’t testing on mobile and I didn’t know that "Mobile phones add a bit of delay to a button press which basically ruined this game".
In the sequel i'll put mobile support on top of my priorities, since it's definitely worth adding.

Sincerely, Kees van Beilen.

Not enough like Matilda.
The dog doesn’t even beatbox.
Im over here trying to move my eyes to the next screen and the dang ol’ speech is being all predictable and, im just gonna take a shot in the dark and wonder for a second if im the audience for this game or not.

Love the effort and the wholesomeness as it stands. Great basis. Good ish feel.

GameBuoyGames responds:

Cheers heaps for playing and leavin' a review. Glad you liked the feel of it too.
Will keep the toning down the flood of dialogue for things I make in future too. If there's anything else you think could be improved feel free to lemme know too.
And I'll probably be using "The dog doesn't even beatbox" in conversation from now on haha.

needs more fluent mechanics.
i like the design and idea of the game, it's fun actually!

but i feel like the smoothness of rising, and aiming could be toned up?
i can't make video games, so this is just an opinion and a dumb one probably.

maybe the things you shoot give upgrades? idk. cool retro shooter shooter really.

PatrickOReilly responds:

Thanks for the valuable feedback! I agree, some of the mechanics should be optimized more to get a more natural, fun feel to flying and shooting. Im working on an upgrade to this game, and am definitely trying to get these and other improvements in there.

this game has a lot of great rough draft material,

I think you should seriously invest some philosphical man power and engine building into a game with paths and endings and all that...

but with boxy pizzaz!
be a creativity hacker! break walls and throw obscurities into oblivion!

caymanf responds:

You're right. I agree this game can have more potencial. I did this game very fast because I try to express a lot of emocional problems I have in the moment. Maybe I will return the idea to a second evolution.
Thank you!!

I mean for a back and forth game where you have to strategically speed up and slow down, and then as the game goes on...it throws new enemies and has original music...

something just seems missing though, I think maybe a great background parallax effect of a city for each stage...and then as you go on, the background city gets more and more destroyed would've added a lot of flair to the project!

but it's fun, cute, comedic, and short.

I always can recommend more NG achievements. gives players, incentives man.
think about the PLAYER not the GAME!

5pike responds:

That's a good idea! I think I might do that next time. Thank you!

I mean for a 2 day engine made, week polished little guy.
I see the appeal :D

While I personally couldn't get over 40 in the 10 mins I've spent playing the game, it's cool, and helped me earn an achievement on new grounds.
I guess different enemy types, and maybe multiple arenas could have been nice I love the star parallax, it's really nifty :D

different enemy patterns would be cool too, like maybe some triangle enemies that attack in a diving pattern, or broken heart enemies that cling to your staff and block attacks for a while. keep it up

trixelbit responds:

Dude, Thank you for the positive feedback and suggestions! I like the ideas for the different enemy variances. I'll probably incorporate that into another update of this game or sequel.
Im glad you enjoyed!

Puffballs as always your Stickman games blow me away. Wonderful job. Hope to see more games such as this one in the future c:

PuffballsUnited responds:

Thanks! We shall see what the future holds

please jesus have more than a 3 second loop of bass...i mean it'd be an alright game if you put more effort into the art. more color maybe... i mean i'm not really sure. just seems like an 8th grade Flash project you got an A for.

HenkeRino responds:

Thanks for the feedback, I will put some effort into the art and music for my next game. Sick Titty Poem Btw keep it up :)

I mean it's not too different from any space shooter i've played before...work on the gravity a little more. a little sluggish to my taste at least...balance out the lasers, the blue turret for my ship seems a little OP. More enemy waves and balance out the sound FX with the game (Or at least make that an option to the player...) over all though...i'd say this is a Solid Alpha release.

dtoillion responds:

Hey I made a huge update to the game today based on your's and other's feedback. I'd like to invite you to give it another try. Still a WIP of course but much more polished. Thanks again!
